Los Alamos STEAM Lab and Samizdat Bookstore and Teahouse are excited to announce a new collaboration. This March they will be jointly opening at 174 Central Park Square.
Los Alamos STEAM Lab opened in September of 2019 and offered classes, camps, and fun for six months before transitioning to an online and outdoor format for the last two years. This Spring, they will offer after school care on Wednesdays, affordable tutoring, and some community classes.
Samizdat Bookstore participated in the Retail Accelerator sponsored by the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce and MainStreet this past Fall and launched a pop-up shop. Thanks to the very generous support of the community during the holiday season, they are able to enter this partnership and will be offering a collection of books, games, and puzzles. After some kitchen improvements they will also be serving tea.
Los Alamos STEAM Lab and Samizdat Bookstore will not only be sharing space, but working together on many collaborative activities including a history of cryptography, book clubs with childcare, game nights, and more.
We are very excited to be entering into this partnership and see so many possibilities for creating a place of community and friendship in Los Alamos.
