Use measurements and math to draft your own perfectly fitting bodice block. We’ll use the formulas in Patternmaking for Fashion Design to create the block. If time permits, students will sew the block in class and make adjustments.

In the second class we will take the well-fitting block and learn how to modify it to produce several patterns for custom fitted shirts such as a raglan shirt, t-shirt, and camisole.

Intro to Game Design – Godot

Students will start creating a Zelda-like RPG using Python and the free game editor Godot.

Each class will start with a You-Tube video tutorial followed by practical application, including vector graphics design in Inkscape. At the end of the session, students should have a minimalist working game as well as the skills to extend it.

Learn to create your own game assets in this vector graphic design class. We will use Inkscape (open sourced and thus free) to create custom game assets (tiles, characters, objects, etc).  Vector Graphics are scalable and thus can be exported at multiple resolutions and thus used in different game engines.
