This listing is for kiddos who would like placed on a World Robot Olympiad team for the 2022 season.

More about WRO: https://www.usengineeringleague.org/wro-2022
Competition: Virtual Competition June 25th, I don’t think we’ll be ready so I’m planning to host one at the end of July.
Cost: $75 – this should cover almost everything including registrations, mats, kits, and local competition fees, but not California.

May Schedule:

I’ll use May to host a series of loosely monitored workshops each week.  We’ll work on various aspects the kids will need to know in order to program their competition bot, like building a car base, following a line, pushing a block around precisely, etc.  Each week will be the same theme for all sessions, but I don’t think it will hurt to come to more than one. I will have other programs running at this time, so I won’t be solely focused on mentoring, but I’ll have a good set of resources available for the kids.  We’ll use this time to start to form official teams and some teams may star working on their robot.

Tuesday Morning: 10am – 12pm
Tuesday Afternoon: 4pm – 6pm
Saturday Morning: 10am – 12pm

Summer Schedule

We’ll definitely have teams settled by the end of the school year.  Tuesday mornings at STEAM Lab will be a time where camp kids are not present.  I will host coding club from 10:30 – 12:00, but will be at STEAM Lab starting at 9:00 to help WRO Teams.  Camp will be at STEAM Lab from 1:00 – 4:00 daily and teams are also welcome to come work on their robots at that time.  I can arrange for some weekend availability as well, but don’t want to commit to that every week just yet.

Tuesdays: 9am – 12pm
Weekdays: 1pm – 4pm
Saturday Mornings: TBD
