Homeschool Offerings

This purchase is an auto-renewable payment for monthly STEAM Lab classes.  You may cancel at anytime.  First child is full price, additional children receive the sibling discount.

STEAM Lab offers no questions asked scholarships.  Please contact us to find out more.

After you’ve signed up, I will manually move your first payment to August 25th and future payments will be on the 25th of the month.  LAPS Breaks and snow days are included in the price as are months with 5 days. Late cancellations will have a 5% surcharge (which is what we are charged by our processor).

This listing has all of our homeschool subscription offerings.  Homeschoolers are always welcome to join our after school programming and classes.

Mathematical Problem Solving

This class will be taught in two levels that may be combined if there is insufficient enrollment.  The focus will be on mathematical thinking and reasoning rather than arithmetic instruction.  We’ll learn various logical games (sudoku, twenty-four, etc), play various board games (Prime Climb, Mastermind, etc), and solve logic puzzles.

We’ll have free play available at an additional cost for kiddos who would like to stay from 9 – 12.

Math Office Hours

Send your kiddo to STEAM Lab to do their math work.  Bring any curriculum at any level and get help from Lis, a former high school math teacher.  This is not one on one tutoring, so kiddos may need to wait their turn for help as they work through their problems, but there will be a focus on problem solving, looking back to prior examples, and moving on to the next problem to alleviate some of this. Kiddos will also be able to take breaks and participate in our drop-in hours.

If Lis is unable to be around for a week due to illness or travel then there might not be an available sub, but kiddos can come participate in our drop-in hours for the week instead.
